Artist Matt Putnam-Pouliot talks about how he approached this project...

Jameson approached me with the basic idea for "Effin Kids" and it sounded like fun. Kids that turn into giant monsters and start trashing a city - what's not to like? The idea sounded right up my alley and I hadn't worked from some else's scripts in a while so I thought it'd be a good
experience for me to be a part of a collaborative effort again.

I designed the kids first and then turned Brian and George into monsters.

I didn't want to change them so much that they weren't recognizable.

Brian retained his big eyes and short cropped hair. George's kept his shaggy, sheepdog hair (I loved the idea of a bookworm with obstructed vision). Their color schemes came out of Jameson's idea of how to handle the colors: start out with dull blues and reds and introduce brighter greens and oranges as the action picks up.

(Jameson- "The storyboard and character designs Matt sent me are reproduced below, I really dig how in no time at all the whole story was right there!")
