Artists saving the world from bug creatures for the promise of a golden future.

A burnt-out writing teacher who sees other people as hollow mannequins is determined to free humanity from the control of strange bugs that have created the laws of reality. Simon Rowley has been chosen to lead the world into a new Golden Age, but he can't do it. Rather than control the human race, he tries to wake it up, urging society to overcome its oppressors. The problem is, some people actually listen to him, leading to a revolt on the underpinnings of reality itself. Backed by an army of deviants and intellectual drop-outs, will he stand a chance at saving the world from itself?
